MAY 2006: WYCOMBE HIGH SCHOOL 

After 8 months on site the New Learning Centre at Wycombe High School is due to be finished on time at the beginning of June. Latimer Contracting have worked positively with the school and Brocklehurst Architects to ensure that the building was on programme and on budget. The new building will provide much needed space and IT Facilities including a modern Internet Cafe in the foyer.

 

 
       
 

JUNE 2006:  SURE START

The new Sure Start Children's Centre in High Wycombe is due to complete early next month. The contemporary building will provide a visual focal point within the community, providing state of the art children's facilities.  

 

 

 
       
 

MAY 2006: CREWE HALL HOTEL 

Marston Hotels have appointed Brocklehurst Architects to design a new Spa & Leisure Facility, and Accommodation extension at Crewe Hall Hotel. The Hotel is a converted 17th Century Jacobean Manor House, and the £7.5 scheme requires careful integration with the existing buildings, whilst maintaining the superb landscaped setting. The proposed works also includes reinstatement of the nearby lake and refurbishment of the existing Grade ll Listed Boat House.  

  

 
       
 

MAY 2006: INSTITUTE ROAD, MARLOW 

We have received planning permission for a small mixed use development in the heart of Marlow Conservation Area. The development consists of a ground floor dental surgery, with two flats on the first floor. The modern design has taken inspiration from the historic wall bounding the site. The whole ground storey is wrapped with the boundary wall, with a much lighter rendered first floor. The project is due to start on site later this month.

 

 
       
 

MAY 2006: GLASTONBURY THORN FIRST SCHOOL

The school are thrilled with their New Foundation Teaching Area which officially opened at the end of April. The light and airy building was specifically designed to give the children a great environment to learn and play 

 

 
       
 

MAY 2006: WINCHMORE HILL

24 affordable homes are under construction at Whielden Lane in the heart of the Chilterns for The Rural Housing Trust. They will provide a mixture of shared ownership and rented accommodation in an area much in need of affordable housing. They have been designed with the local vernacular style using traditional materials and offer a range of house sizes from 1bed flats to 3 bed semi-detached homes.
